Harley Quinn!
The character was created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm and first appeared September 11, 1992, in Batman: The Animated Series. She was later adapted into DC Comics’ Batman comic books, first appearing in The Batman Adventures #12 (September 1993).
It was only in 1994 that she got her own origin story in graphic novel Mad Love.
The story received wide praise and won the Eisner and Harvey Awards for Best Single Issue Comic of the Year
Her full name is Harleen Frances Quinzel and was introduced as an Arkham Asylum psychiatrist who falls for the Joker and becomes his accomplice and on-off sidekick.
She is one of my favorite characters! Trough the Animated Series there were some scenes with her that made me question how suitable the series is for children:
She has a pair of pet hyenas named Bud and Lou.
