Monthly reading review – February 2015

In February I have read:
Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides ★★★
The DUFF – Designated Ugly Fat Friend by Kody Kelpinger ★★★★
If We Ever Break Up, This Is My Book by Jason Logan ★★★
A Hero of Our Time by Mikhail Lermontov ★★
Last Angel in Hell (Angel: After the Fall vol 6) by Brian Lynch ★★
1. Were you happy with the amount you read?
I’ve read 5 books altogether. I’m still trying to fit in bookclub reads. Better than last month but still a bit on the down side.
2. If you had a 5 star read, what was it and why?
None of the books I’ve read in February stood out as 5★ for me. There were some good scenes in DUFF by Kody Keplinger
3. If you had a 1 or 2 star read, what was it and why?
A Hero of our time by Mikhail Lermontov was extra hard to read and the translation was horrible. Last Angel in Hell (Angel After the Fall vol 6) by Brian Lynch was not what I expected. Story was all over the place and that made it hard to follow.
4. Any new book boyfriends?
Another month without any book boyfriends 😦 – and it was February! As for intriguing characters Cal from Middlesex was interesting in its own way.
5. Any new jerks?
Pechorin from A Hero of our time was kinda a jerk…
6. Did you start any new series?
Finally done with Angel: After the fall graphic novel series! AND haven’t started any new ones!
7. Did you find any new authors that you loved?
Kody Keplinger is a new author and a young one at that. I’m gonna see if I stumble on some other book she writes!
8. Any book you would recommend?
DUFF by Kody Keplinger before the movie comes out – the book is good!
Continuing reading for March:
Delayed Penalty (Dartmouth Cobras book 5) by Bianca Sommerland – leftover! (I’m over 75%)
Pretty Guardian Sailormoon (Short Stories vol 2) by Naoko Takeuchi – group challenge
A Momentary Delay by Reha Camuroglu – Bookclub challenge
