Book a Day I read because of my reading club – August 2018
Lord of the Flies is another book I only recently read because of my book club. We read this one February this year and since I did not make a review on it here is a short impression from Monthly reading review – February 2018.
I had a hard time reading this book. something about it did not sit well with me and to make the matters worse I even got into a bit of an argument with one of the other readers on our book club meeting. I kept claiming this book to be dystopian and post-apocalyptic and she disagreed. I even went to searching trough the book for quotes to prove my theory.
Something about this book brought the worst in me. I did not feel good while I was reading it and even the book club meeting was unsettling experience. I wonder how would my reaction be if I choose it for myself to read…
