Book a Day – The Shadow of The Wind

Book a Day I read because of my reading club – August 2018

When I first saw how long ago has past since I’ve read The Shadow of The Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón I was a bit surprised. It turned out this was a book we choose to read back in April 2016. I belong to more than one book club group and sometimes when I look back on all the books we read together I’m not sure of the date unless I check for sure.

Before this book was picked out for the book club reading I read few other books by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. I liked his Niebla trilogy for young adults. I liked the poetic writing style and how the author knows his audience as a book loving group of readers. We were all pleased by this choice of author and book. Usually we try to avoid book series and only sometimes try a first book from a series like this one.

This was definitely one of the books that caters to book lovers in general. I never wrote a review on it and how it left me feeling content. The storytelling was excellent and the mystery of the book was intriguing.  For some reason I decided not to pick up other books from this series.
