Book a Day I read because of my reading club – August 2018
Our book club read A Mercy by Toni Morrison last year in September. We wanted to read something by Toni Morrison and there were not that many options in terms of number of available copies and translated works.
As it turned out this is one of the book meetings I did not manage to attend. After every meeting person who was a moderator for the book is required to write a report on our meeting. From what I could read they did this book justice with many heated discussions.
It was a sort of melancholy book that impacts the reader emotionally. This book poses many questions for those who are willing to give their time and energy to reading. While the book was a bit of a downer for my mood I am still very pleased to have read it.
