April was a busy reading month for my challenges. I have several which are ongoing so here are how I’m holding up:
First off I would like to check off book challenge I got leftover from last year. I got the last two books from it done this month. The last two books were: Ender’s Game (Ender’s Saga #1) by Orson Scott Card and Kitchen Princess Omnibus, Vol. 3 (Kitchen Princess #5-7) by Natsumi Andō.

For more info on how it all started last year you can check out HERE. It is a reading challenge in a sense that made me read more books I own and gave me some direction into reading more generally. At the time I did not make myself so busy with reading and reading challenges. I might go back at this format of a reading challenge sometime after summer but for now I have other ways of keeping myself busy reading.
Due to a whole lot of reading I decided to do in April I made a decision to try and overlap my reading challenges by using books that fit into more categories in different challenges but keeping it at single book per challenge so I can’t use the same book in a single challenge but can use it in different challenges.
O.W.L.s Magical Readathon is not yet officially over and as a first timer without sense of direction I decided to try going trough all the prompts. Naturally I was a bit overzealous in this challenge but instead of reading all twelve books I managed to pick out for the prompts I read nine and will finish tenth book by the end of the month. While it is not a complete success I consider it a small victory anyway.
Ancient Runes – heart on the cover/or in title
✔ Kitchen Princess Omnibus, Vol. 3 (Kitchen Princess, #5-7) by Natsumi Ando

✔ The Vegetarian: A Novel by Han Kang
Astronomy – read the majority of the book at night
✔ Bite Me (Bitten, #1) by C.C. Wood
Care of Magical Creatures – creature with a beak on the cover
The Dark Prophecy (The Trials of Apollo, #2) by Rick Riordan
Charms – white cover
✔ Ender’s Game (Ender’s Saga #1) by Orson Scott Card
Defence Against the Dark Arts – book set at sea / coast
✔ Children of the Spider by Imam Baksh
Divination – random TBR pick
Balzac i kineska mala krojačica by Dai Sijie ( Balzac et la Petite Tailleuse chinoise)
Herbology – title starts with the letter M
✔ Maneuver (Men of Inked: Southside Book 1) by Chelle Bliss
History of Magic – book featuring witches / wizards
✔ Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling
Muggle Studies – contemporary
✔ Fork In The Road by J. Coyne
Potions – book under 150 pages
✔ Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Transfiguration – book with shapeshifters
✔ Storm Cursed (Mercy Thompson, #11) by Patricia Briggs
One of the books I did not read I realized did not really fit into the prompt and the other book I ended up not reading because I ran of time and could not muster up the motivation for. For reading the original post on my O.W.L.s Magical Readathon challenge you can check out HERE and I will be posting a more detailed review on the books in it and how it all went for me sometime in May.

I don’t own the picture I just thought it was cool looking and fit well with magic reading theme.
My usual TBR Jar Draw challenge is still going. I am currently reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling which is my pick for it.
Last but not least, my reading challenge for reading more books I already own in 2020 has one update on the list.

April was a bit hectic for me since I decided to read more in a month than I did in any month for a while. I tuned my schedule upside down and ended up not posting anything for a whole month. In one hand I was busy reading and then I went all rebel at myself about it and read quite a bit outside all of the reading challenge lists I mentioned above. I will explain about those in my April Book Wrap in a day or two!
Uuu, colors, i see colors are used in text. I like it!
