Find a book with stars on it – A Touch of Dead (Short stories from Sookie Stackhouse series) by Charlaine Harris

 So, Yes! the stars here are kinda little dots.

But it is a sky, and there is a moon, and the little dots are the stars. There is even a bit of glitter on the moon and the stars but it is not noticeable since the photo is not of that good quality.

As you can see I’m not happy with the choice I made here. It was surprisingly hard to find a book with stars on the cover on my shelves!

This is a short story collection from the Sookie Stackhouse series as it says on the cover. The book series was originally named Southern Vampire Mysteries. I don’t know why that changed for this book. Probably has something to do with the TV show that was in full blast when this collection came out.

There were few other options but they did not make the cut (yes there were worse options than little dots as stars…)

Find a book that has a close up of something on it – Go Ask Malice (A Slayer’s Diary) by Robert Joseph Levy

 On the cover of this book we have a close up of half a face Eliza Dushku. This book is a story from Buffy the Vampire Slayer world. Character of Faith Lehane has been my favorite for a long time. The actress has a certain charisma and I like her as Faith.

I’ve read the book and I liked it!

Find a book written by someone with a common name – Vampire Armand (The Vampire Chronicles: Book 6) by Anne Rice

 This is a Croatian hardcover edition of Vampire Armand (The Vampire Chronicles: Book 6) by Anne Rice. It is the only book of hers I have in Croatian. I got almost all of them in English paperback.

As for the name; thousands of girl (and boy!) babies are given the name Anna every year. It is one of the most popular name across the globe and it is being used in many different forms.

Find a diary (true or false) – Dracula by Bram Stoker

 I was looking trough my bookshelves and I passed this one many times before realizing it is written in the form of a diary. I got it for a school assignment. I’m ashamed to say I’m not sure have I read it trough or not. I do remember reading it, but it was over a decade ago so I’m not really sure.

 This is one of the books I want to read again sometime in the future. And for someone who has affinity for vampire literature I just might look up some really cool hardcover edition for my shelf.

Wishlist presentation – Anita Blake series

I have been a fan of Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake Vampire Hunter book series for over a decade. I have purchased first 4 books as a box set.

It is a really cool coffin like box set. It has a removable top. And I really like the box design. The rose reminds me of the book design of Vampire the masquerade PNP setting I used to love playing.

There are these hardcover edition I wanted to own ever since I saw them years ago. For me they are highly prized collectible editions.

  

 

They were printed by Guild America Book club. First two were printed in 1997. Third was printed in 1998. And the last one was printed in 2005. For someone living in a small EU country they are kinda hard to attain.

The cost of shipping sometimes surpasses the prices of the books! And I’m poor!

 

They are all omnibus editions.

Club Vampyre contains first three books in the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series: Guilty Pleasures, The Laughing Corpse and Circus of the Damned.

The Midnight Cafe contains next three books: The Lunatic Cafe, Bloody Bones and The Killing Dance.

Black Moon Inn contains books seven and eight: Burnt Offerings and Blue Moon.

Nightshade Tavern is the last of the omnibus editions that was published as such and contains books nine and ten: Obsidian Butterfly and Narcissus in Chains.

The cover art was made by Luis Royo whose artwork is nicely dark and sensual.
